MEC Hygiene Item Returns

Items such as socks, face masks, sanitary devices, and undergarments (that includes all types of bike chamois, underwear bottoms, and swimwear) cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are unused and unworn, and still are in their original packaging with the tags intact. Base layers are not undergarments.

Electronics Returns

You can return your electronic devices up to 90 days from their purchase date. Electronics include but are not limited to the following items:

E-Bikes Returns

E-bikes that are purchased as part of the BC Electric Bike Rebate Program are non-returnable and non-refundable. They can only be exchanged for another bike of the same value or higher. The exchange will only take place if the e-bikes are in a returnable condition.

Once received, a refund will be issued to your original payment type (minus an $11 shipping fee).

Mail Within Canada (Without return form)

You need to create a Canada Post return shipping label. You will receive a confirmation email with the tracking number from Canada post.

Mail Outside Canada

You can send and pay for your mail via insured ground shipping, outside Canada. Make sure to write ‘Canadian Goods Returning’ on the outside of the package. You should not return the items by UPS or other carriers as they have a duty and brokerage fees, and your return will be refused by MEC.

Returning an oversized product:

The easiest way to return an oversized item is to visit your nearest MEC store. If a store visit isn’t convenient, you can arrange a return shipment directly with a courier to the address below. MEC will not cover the cost of return shipping.

You can use the Store Locator given to find the MEC store or MEC Service Center near you. You can bring your items in-store anytime from its purchase date to return. Securely pack your items and bring them to the store.

Make sure to bring an original sales receipt or order number if you ordered online to the store. Returns of boats, bikes, skis, or oversized items are not allowed at MEC HBC shop-in-shops. Talk to a store associate about your return. They will help you with the return process.
